'Banbha - Celtic Goddess' Original Watercolor Painting

£499.00

This is my watercolor interpretation of the goddess Banbha. is one of the three principal goddesses of Ireland in Celtic mythology. She is often associated with the land, representing Ireland's natural beauty, fertility, and sovereignty. She was also celebrated at the Autumn Equinox. Banbha is primarily seen as the goddess of the land. She embodies the fertile fields, rolling hills, and majestic mountains of Ireland. Her name is sometimes used interchangeably with "Ireland" itself.

  • Banbha is often depicted as part of a triple goddess, along with Ériu and Fódla. These three goddesses are believed to represent different stages of the lunar cycle or the life of a woman.

  • Banbha's significance in Celtic mythology highlights the deep connection between the Irish people and their land. She is a symbol of Ireland's natural beauty, its cultural heritage, and its enduring spirit.

  • You can watch me paint Banbha here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqKSnObRNHE&t=11s
